| Q: Does King's College have a campus security force? A:
Recognizing the importance of safety and security on campus, King's College
maintains its own Security Service Department. Security officers are on
duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. During the academic year, from the
third week of August to the end of the second week of May, the King's
College switchboard operates on 24 hours a day. Security can be contacted
at any time regarding emergencies, problems, or information by dialing
"0" from campus telephones or 570-208-5900 from off campus locations
or going to the college switchboard located in the lobby of Holy Cross
Hall. During
the summer months, from May through August, the King's College switchboard
operates between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. If there is need
to speak to a security officer after 11:00 p.m. dial the King's College
security pager 570-819-7811 and at the sound of the tome enter the telephone
number the security officer is call back, your call will be returned promptly. During
fall and winter recess the switchboard operates between the hours of 7:00
a.m. to 11:00 p.m. If there is a need to speak to a security officer after
11:00 p.m. dial the King's College security pager 208-6030 and at the
sound of the tone enter the telephone number the security officer is to
call back, your call will be returned promptly. During holiday closings, (i.e. Christmas, New Years, Easter) the King's College switchboard is closed. Anyone needing to contact the security services should dial the King's College security pager 208-6030 and at the sound of the tone enter the telephone number the security officer is to call back, your call will be returned promptly. The director of the security office is located in the Sheehy Farmer Center. The director may be reached by calling 208-5926 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. |
