Internships
|
Q: Does the College help students find internships? A: Yes. King's College recognizes the value of the extended classroom in preparing students to carefully examine and explore their educational and career interests. The Center for Experiential Learning takes an active role in assisting students in acquiring and completing academically-supervised internships. Junior-, senior-, and graduate-level students who maintain a minimum GPA as required by their major departments are eligible to apply for spring, summer, and/or fall placements. The application process should begin the semester prior to the desired session. All interns receive academic credit and a grade for the experience. Approximately 200 King's College students intern each year.
A: Internship placement sites exist on the local, national, and international levels in virtually all sectors of the economy. Through the Center for Experiential Learning, students from all majors are assisted in acquiring internships at a varied list of public, private, and government employers. Additional opportunities are available through the Study Abroad Program as well as the accounting, criminal justice, and mass communications senior internship programs. |
