A: Yes. There are lockers available for students to rent in the lower level of the Campus Center. The cost of the locker is $3 per year. Students may arrange to rent lockers in the Office of Campus Activities in the Campus Center. Q: Are commuting students assigned a campus mailbox number? A: Yes. All full-time students at King's College are assigned a campus mailbox number by the Registrar's Office. The commuting students' mailboxes are located on the main level of the Campus Center. This in-house college mail system is used frequently to send information to the student population. It is the student's responsibility to check their mailbox at least three times a week. Q: What needs to be done if a commuting student becomes ill or there is a family emergency and the student is not able to attend classes for several days? A: When a student is missing classes due to illness or family emergency for an extended period of time (two days or more of the same class), they must contact the Student Affairs Office who will, in turn, contact the student's instructors. If a student misses one class, then the student must talk to the professor on the next day of the class. Q: Are there any meal programs available for commuting students? A: Commuting students may enroll in any of the six meal plans or King's Cash Debit Programs offered by the dining service. For further information, contact the Office of Residence Life in the Campus Center. Q: May I contact my son or daughter when they are in class? A: The College does not have a paging system or a means to contact students quickly. The Student Affairs Office will attempt to notify students of messages only in the case of emergency, for example, death in the family or serious accidents. |
