Eastern Insurance Group Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan

King's College provides a health insurance plan at a reasonable cost designed especially for those full-time undergraduate students who have no other form of health insurance.

Health insurance for King's College students is currently underwritten by the Eastern Insurance Group.

If you would like to receive a brochure with more information on the health insurance provided by the Eastern Insurance Group Accident and Sickness Plan please contact the Student Health Center at 570-208-5852 and one will be mailed to you.

Involuntary Accident Insurance

All full-time resident and non-resident students attending King's College are covered by a basic accident insurance plan. This coverage includes all activities on campus, as well as college- related activities off campus. There is no cost to the students or parents for this insurance; however this is Accident Insurance only and is not a substitute for health insurance.

Filing an Insurance Claim with Your Own Insurance Company

In some instances, the student health center may feel it necessary to refer a patient to an outside medical provider. Charges for outside services are the responsibility of the student. It is the student's responsibility to know the limitations and requirements of his/her insurance plan prior to receiving treatment outside the student health center. In many cases, your insurance plan may require pre-authorization and/or out-of-network referral in order for the service to be covered. If you are unsure of you coverage please contact the customer service department of your insurance plan. The phone number is usually printed on the back of the insurance card.
