Campion Society

Description:

Campion Society is the official literary club of King's College. Members gather for two different types of meetings: Open Readings and Writing Workshops. Open Readings give members the opportunity to read their own written works, as well as the works of published authors. Writing Workshops allow members to try creative writing exercises and critique each other's material. There are four meetings per semester (two of each type), and the assemblies last about an hour apiece. Additionally, Campion Society participates in a volunteer project each semester. In the past the club has worked at the Back Mountain Library, assisting with the haunted house in October and tidying the library's interior in April.

Chemistry Club

Chemical Society (Chemistry Club)

Description:

The chemistry club is a highly interactive club that prides itself on the spread of knowledge and enthusiasm for science, especially chemistry. We strive to incorporate this into every activity sponsored by our club, including volunteer projects, fundraising events, and field trips. Activities such as educational and entertaining demonstrations shows, t-shirt sales, liquid nitrogen ice cream sales, trips to museums, and chemical industries, encourage students to apply science in their everyday lives. However our club is not solely for science majors; the chemistry club welcomes students of all majors and provides an interesting outlook into the world of chemistry.
