Orientation marks the exciting beginning to this next chapter of your life as a college student. It can be a little overwhelming, but King's makes every effort to prepare you with helpful resources needed for an effortless transition. Whether you're a first-year student starting college for the first time or a continuing student transferring in, our orientation programs will help you navigate the details and get acquainted with our campus community. We are so excited to have you join the King's family and Become a Monarch!

Orientation Portal

All incoming students who have made their enrollment deposit will receive an email with your welcome letter and Becoming a Monarch Orientation E-Booklet, along with the web address and credentials to log in to our Orientation Portal after April 1. There, you'll be able to access your new King's College email account and complete important, required documents and tasks including:

  • New Student Questionnaire to identify interests in classes, scheduling, and activities
  • Applicable placement tests*
  • Health forms
  • Advisement scheduling

The portal is the central place to complete tasks, which will vary depending on which semester you're starting and if you're a first-year, transfer, or international student. The Portal will highlight each required deadline to ensure everything is in place for you to attend Orientation! Follow the links below to learn more about your specific needs as a first-year domestic, transfer, or international student.

Welcome emails are sent on a weekly basis beginning on the dates below.

Mid-April For students starting classes during summer session
Mid-April For students starting classes in the Fall Semester
Mid-November For students starting classes in the Spring Semester

*Students will not be registered for classes until they complete their applicable placement tests. Delaying completion will limit the class options available to you. Accommodations such as extra time can be arranged by contacting the Academic Skills Center 570-208-5841 (For international students: 001-570-208-5897) prior to a student attempting the placement test(s) online.
