INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE 2008 - KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Eduardo Marques Almeida
Eduardo Marques Almeida is the Vice-President of TechnoServe for Latin America, where he is responsible for the operations in Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Dominican Republic and Brazil. TechnoServe is a world leading NGO, which, alleviates poverty of rural areas, through business and entrepreneurship development. Before joining TechnoServe, Eduardo has worked for 22 years as a senior executive or consultant at the following companies: McKinsey & Company, Development Alternatives, Inc., KPMG, DiamondCluster, Promon and Det Norske Veritas. Eduardo holds an M.P.A from the Kennedy School of Management, Harvard University; an M.B.A. from COPPEAD, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil; and anM.Sc., Civil Engineering, from COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. He lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with his wife (Andrea), his two children (Thiago and Anna Luiza). He speaks Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
