Networking and the opportunity to participate in candid open discussions with fellow business-owning family members, speakers, and program partners who serve as a sounding board for ideas and provide feedback based on their expertise and experiences. Members large and small learn from each other's successes and failures, ideas and strategies. For a listing of FBF members, please see the Members List.

Interaction with and exposure to the faculty and students of King's College highlights viable and successful local family businesses; lays the foundation for future internship and employment possibilities; and provides members with a fresh perspective on trends in education.

Affinity group meetings and roundtables are held quarterly for family and non-family managers to discuss common issues, ideas and challenges (HR managers, CFOs, etc.).

Company tours provide a first hand look at successful business representing the best Northeast Pennsylvania has to offer.

Skill-Building workshops are offered periodically as supplement to core programs on topics such as estate and succession planning, ownership and management issues, and strategic planning.

Resource materials, including books, magazines, audio- and videotapes on relevant family business topics, provide a source for research and training.

The Family Forum newsletter features advice on relevant family issues, coverage of the activities of the Family Business Forum, plus member profiles.
