How did you select your Study/Intern Abroad location?
Help from Mrs. Farmer to find an environmentally-focused program.
Why did you want to study or intern abroad?
I wanted to explore a culture other than my own and to actually study first-hand the environmental issues that I had been learning about.
What were the highlights of this experience?
Seeing some beautiful natural places and broadening my perspectives.
What surprised you the most?
How comfortable I was living abroad.
How has (or how might) this experience affect your major and future career?
It showed me that I could successfully work in a foreign setting and it added immensely to the knowledge I have gained from my major.
What would you tell students considering studying or interning abroad?
They should absolutely do it. It is a life-changing, invaluable experience. There is really no better way to broaden one's perspective not only of their studies but of life in general.
