INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

King’s College is proud of our strong Internship Program. We encourage students to participate in at least one internship during their junior or senior year and assist with finding those opportunities locally, regionally, or nationally. Employers enjoy partnering with King’s and our students to recruit, train, and evaluate potential employees and gain fresh insights. If your organization is interested in finding students to intern over the summer or during academic year, please email careerplanning@kings.edu. We ask that you provide:

  • an updated description of the position(s) you wish to fill with compensation information
  • any candidate requirements (majors, GPA, and/or graduation dates)

ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING PROGRAM

Employers see great benefit in participating in our On-Campus Recruiting Program. Your company can uniquely brand itself on campus, influence professional development of future interns, and establish a pipeline of future employee talent with our graduates. The program offers you the opportunity to conduct no-cost interviews and convey competitive industry knowledge. To become a participating member of the OCR program or to gather more information, please email careerplanning@kings.edu. There are two ways to participate in the OCR program, On-Campus Interview and Resume Referrals. Please see below for details on each.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS

If your company is interested in interviewing current students on campus for internships or jobs, please email careerplanning@kings.edu to set up a date. We ask that you contact us at least three weeks in advance of the date you intend to visit campus to allow for ample time to market the position, gather resumes, and create an interview schedule. An interview schedule will be set up according to your specifications and will be emailed to you as soon as it is completed. Our office will send an email confirmation letter, directions to campus and our office, and parking instructions prior to your interview day.

We ask that for the interview, please arrive to campus at least 15 minutes prior. We invite you to join our staff (and faculty, if available) for lunch and provide feedback on our services and students. Further, we expect you to communicate directly with students regarding their status with your company in a reasonable time frame.

RESUMÉ REFERRAL

If you cannot make it to campus for interviews, our office can arrange to have résumés referred to you! We ask you to provide:

  • an updated description of the position(s) you wish to fill
  • any candidate requirements (majors, GPA, and/or graduation dates)
  • any recruitment materials you would like us to distribute to students via email prior to the interview

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES

The Professional Development Seminar Series enhances students’ knowledge and skills of career related topics through a series of workshops and educational activities that will prepare students to make informed career related decisions. Our staff works with regional and national organizations to present compelling and educational workshops on a wide range of topics, networking events, and mock interviews.

We invite your organization to become a presenter and share your professional expertise with students! In doing so, students will gain knowledge from a professional in the field, learn about your industry and organization, and promote your company and reputation on campus. Please email careerplanning@kings.edu for more information.
