King's Theater Performs The Lower Depths Nov. 14-17

The King's College Theater will present its second show of the fall season The Lower Depths , by Maxim Gorky, at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14-17 in the King's Theater.

The cast of more then 25 students will perform what is considered one of Gorky 's greatest works.   The Lower Depths portrays the ghetto of Russian society. Hovelled in a ramshackle inn, the characters are social derelicts who debate whether it is better to live without illusions or to maintain a romanticized worldview.

The theater is located in the Administration Building on North River Street .  Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.  To reserve tickets, call the box office at ext. 5825 or e-mail boxoff@kings.edu.

From left, Adrianne Kinner and Mark Zurek rehearse for their roles in the upcoming King's Theater production of the “The Lower Depths.”

King's College is a Catholic College sponsored by the congregation of Holy Cross.
