For Release
October 5, 2009 - King’s College participated in a recent clothing drive to support REACH, a Wilkes-Barre based United Way sponsored organization. The two-week effort was the first of what is anticipated to be an annual event. Members of the King’s College Community responded in amazing fashion. The donated clothing was transported to REACH offices in 30 gallon-sized containers. Members of the first-year class at King’s volunteered to sort the donated clothing in various categories. Shown, from left, is Ashtyn Stang; Sarah Beyer; Caitlin Sim; Adrianna Vasquez; Kim Cardone, director of annual giving programs at King’s; Steven Meckel; and Ashley Poff. Absent from photo was Jayne Klenner-Moore, associate professor of communications at King’s and member of the United Way Workplace Council, and Marian Palmieri, director of institutional planning and research at King’s and member of the REACH board of directors.
King's College is a Catholic College sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross. |
