Boardwalks and beachscapes highlight upcoming art exhibition at King’s College

October 1, 2009 – Local artist Mindy Nardone explores the intimacies of boardwalks and beachscapes in a collection of photographs that will be showcased in the Widmann Gallery at King’s College from Friday, Oct. 12, through Nov. 13.

Composed of random light leaks and edge vignettes, Nardone ventures into the realm of the plastic camera. Many of her images have been shown at group exhibitions in several Pennsylvania galleries and her work has also been published in “Light Leaks” Magazine.

Nardone will discuss her photographs during a gallery talk on Friday, Oct. 23, from 6-8 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.  The Gallery hours are: Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat. and Sun., as arranged. The Widmann Gallery is located in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, between North Franklin and North Main streets.
