“The exhibition is a testament to the inherent dignity of all people and pervasive social justice issues that plague our world, the hours King's volunteers have spent in communion with the poor and oppressed, and the numerous service opportunities available through the College’s Office of Volunteer Services,” said Kim Fabbri, coordinator of King’s Scholars in Service Program and organizer of the exhibit. The photographs will be on display in “The Faces and Places We SERVE” exhibition held in the Widmann Gallery at King’s College from Monday, Sept. 21, through Oct. 2. Artists will discuss their photographs and service experiences during a gallery talk on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6-8 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Gallery hours: Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat. and Sun., as arranged. The Widmann Gallery is located in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, between North Franklin and North Main streets. Artists include Ashley Beebe, Wyalusing, a junior sociology major; Leanne Mazurick, director, Office of Volunteer Services; Brother George Schmitz, C.S.C., McGowan Hispanic Outreach Program; and, senior biology major Laura Roberts, Benton.
