Fr. Aguilar was previously staff counselor and alumni and athletic chaplain at Stonehill College, Easton, Mass. As a counselor, he performed individual counseling for college students, and facilitated psycho-educational groups for students with alcohol violations and anger management issues. An active volunteer, Fr. Aguilar has served on King’s Board of Directors. In addition, he is currently a member of Stonehill College Board of Incorporators. He earned a Master of Social Work from Boston College and a Master of Theology from the University of Notre Dame. DaKay is both a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and a nationally certified counselor. She was previously employed as a psychotherapist in the Adult Outpatient Department at Northeast Counseling Services – Hazleton. After graduating with a master’s degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola College in Maryland, DaKay worked as a trauma counselor and associate chaplain at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. As a volunteer for the American Red Cross – Wyoming Valley Chapter, DaKay was deployed to Louisiana as a disaster mental health practitioner following Hurricane Katrina, where she served as one of three counselors administering to almost 1,000 New Orleans Lower 9th Ward evacuees, New Hampshire National Guard members and fellow Red Cross volunteers at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center in Houma, La.
