King's College welcomes new faculty
September 7, 2007– Ten new full-time faculty members have joined King's College for the 2007-08 academic year.
Rev. Daniel Issing, C.S.C., is assistant professor of theology. He holds a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame, Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) degree from Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley , and a doctorate from the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley . Previously he was Director of Campus Ministry at Stonehill College .
Valerie Kepner is assistant professor of economics. She holds a bachelor's from University of Minnesota , a master's from Iowa State University , and is doctoral candidate at Colorado State University .
Karen Mercincavage is assistant technical professor of mass communications; she holds a bachelor's from Penn State University and a master's from Marywood University .
Russell Owens is assistant technical professor of education. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Millersville University and a doctorate from Penn State University .
William Reynolds, Jr., is assistant clinical professor in the College's Physician Assistant program. He holds a bachelor's from King's and MPAS from the University of Nebraska . He was previously a clinical adjunct faculty at King's and he is a clinical physician assistant at Rural Health Corporation of NEPA.
Tracey Selingo is assistant technical professor of mass communications. She holds a bachelor's from Scranton University and master's from Syracuse University . She is owner and creative director of Ink Corp.
Alexandra Serio is assistant technical professor of computers & information systems. She holds a bachelor's from University of Scranton and master's from University of North Carolina at Charlotte .
Amy Swiatek is professional specialist in mathematics. She holds a bachelor's from Wilkes University and previously was a substitute teacher in the Northwest Area School District and an adjunct instructor at King's.
Chad Welsh is assistant professor of biology. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Middle Tennessee State University , and a doctorate from the University of Louisville , where he previously served as a teaching assistant.
James Ziegler is assistant professor of chemistry. He holds a bachelor's from the University of Scranton and a doctorate from Duquesne University .
