Local artist Theodore Scazafabo opens King’s Widmann Gallery, Aug. 17

August 11, 2009 – Influenced by heightened, symbolic colors and exaggerated imagery of expressionism, techniques of impressionism and the spontaneous improvisation of abstract expressionism, local artist Theodore Scazafabo’s creative works combine digital objects and digitally manipulated images with elements of nature. His original works will be on display in the “Theology” exhibit held in the Widmann Gallery at King’s College from Monday, August 17, through Sept. 18.

Scazafabo will discuss his craft during a gallery talk on Friday, Sept. 18, from 6-8 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.  Gallery hours: Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat. and Sun., as arranged. The Widmann Gallery is located in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, between North Franklin and North Main streets.
