Local photographer's original work set to open King's Widmann Gallery, Aug. 13

August 10, 2007 – Artists working in a variety of mediums, including photography, oil paintings, dye, fabric and rice paper will be featured exhibitors in King's College's Widmann Gallery this academic year. The illuminating images of commercial photographer Katye Ross will open the gallery season with an exhibition, entitled “Blur,” from Aug. 13-Sept. 21.

Ross will display original works that capture the ambiance of life and inspire thought and memories. She will discuss her craft during gallery talks on Friday, Sept. 21, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.  Gallery hours: Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat. and Sun., as arranged. The Widmann Gallery is located in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center , between North Franklin and North Main streets.
