Louise Wasserott Appointed Director of Advancement at King's

July 27, 2007 – Louise Wasserott, an 18-year veteran of the alumni relations office at King's College, has recently been appointed director of advancement at the College.

She has served as director of alumni relations at the College for the past 11 years. In her new position, Wasserott will supervise the major gifts, planned giving, alumni relations and advancement services functions of the institutional advancement division, as well as manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.

“We are pleased that Louise has accepted these new responsibilities as the College completes the final year of a $30 million capital campaign,” said Frank Pasquini, vice president for Institutional Advancement at King's. “Louise's prior fundraising and alumni relations experience positions her well in her new capacity.”

Wasserott graduated with honors from King's in 1975 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, and earned a master of science degree in rehabilitation counseling from University of Scranton .

She has served on a broad range of committees at King's, including the Jubilee Celebration Steering Committee, Presidential Inauguration Committee, as well as the Catholic Identity and Mission Committee. She currently serves on the Enrollment Management team, and the Father Basil Moreau, C.S.C., founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, beatification celebration committee.

A resident of Dallas Township , Wasserott is a board member of Behavioral Health Services of Wyoming Valley and a member of the Luzerne County Commission on Municipal Cooperation, the Wilkes-Barre Rotary and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is currently treasurer and has served as past president of the League of Women Voters.
