Improving leadership skills and organizational dynamics is focus of King's new program
July 18, 2007 – Today's business leaders need to have an understanding of the work environment, along with the knowledge to understand people, the organization, technology, and the market. To provide working non-traditional students an opportunity to heighten their skills in a rapidly changing global business environment, King's College has developed a new six-course Organizational Dynamics and Leadership certificate program.
Students who enroll in King's program will learn strategies to improve both verbal and nonverbal communication skills, and develop technical skills to store, retrieve, and analyze data. The program will teach leadership skills that are designed to enhance employee productivity, motivation, and satisfaction. In addition, courses will provide an understanding of the complexity of human interactions in organizations, focusing on issues of leadership, motivation, diversity and technology.
Six courses required for the certificate are: computer applications, organizational dynamics, organizational communication, organizational performance, diversity in the workplace, and organizational leadership. Courses are offered in an accelerated format and blend traditional classroom settings with convenient online learning.
