June 28, 2007 - Four local faculty members received teaching awards or were named to established professorships during King's College's Commencement weekend. Dr. Christopher Alexander, Wyoming , a 1979 graduate of King's, was selected to receive the PNC Distinguished Service Professorship. Alexander is associate professor of business management at King's. Maureen Gaffney, Drums, assistant professor of education, was named the initial recipient of the Donald Grimes, C.S.C., Annual Award for Service-Learning Teaching Excellence. Dr. Jean O'Brien, Kingston , professor of psychology and director of the Center for Excellent Learning and Teaching, received the Max and Tillie Rosenn Award for Faculty Excellence. Dr. Margarita Rose, Kingston , professor of economics, was named to the Herve A. LeBlanc Distinguished Professorship. King's College is a Catholic College sponsored by the congregation of Holy Cross. |
