KIDS AT KING’S FEATURES MORE THAN 80 CLASSES

May 7, 2009 - The Ninth Annual Kids at King’s Program will offer more than 80 classes this summer for students entering grades one through eight.  The program, in which classes meet for Monday through Friday sessions for two-and-a-half hours a day, is a component of the College Discovery Program at King’s.

Classes will be held the week of June 22-26, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24 and July 27-31.  Each session features morning and afternoon classes.

Classes for children entering first and second grades include “Backyard Beach Party,” “Creepy Crawlers,” “Under the Sea,” “Art and Nature” and “K’NEX Camp.”

Classes for students entering third through fifth grades include “American Girl,” “Smithsonian Adventure,” “Adventures with Flat Stanley,” “Pamper Your Pooch,” “Hey, I’m on the Radio” and “Computer Adventures.”

Students entering sixth through eighth grades can choose from almost 40 classes including “Movie Maker,” “The Art and Culture of Japan,” “Fun with Origami,” “Camp Millionaire” and “Chemistry is ‘Chool.’”

Several classes, including “Ballroom Blitz,”  “Every Day’s a Different Day,” “The Secret Life of Weird Creatures and Bizarre Beings” and “King’s Mural Project” are offered for more than one age group.
