King’s Circle K Club organizes teddy bear drive for Hershey’s pediatrics unit
April 7, 2008 – Twenty-four students in the King’s College Circle K Club, an international community service club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Wilkes-Barre, collected more than 400 teddy bears to donate to children recovering in the pediatric unit at Hershey Medical Center.
King’s students organized the effort on the college campus and set up collection bins throughout the area with the assistance of volunteers at James M. Coughlin High School, Skateaway, JCPenny, and St. Leo’s Church in Ashley.
