Georgia Guitar Quartet to perform at King’s College

March 4, 2009 - The Georgia Guitar Quartet will perform at King’s College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in the Sheehy- Farmer Campus Center.

The Georgia Guitar Quartet consists of four young men from the south performing an exciting style of high-energy classical music.  The quartet draws inspiration from both past and present influences, from classical to rock.  Quartet members are musicians and composers.  They include their own unique works into their performances, which cover various genres, time periods, and continents.

Marking their tenth anniversary season, the Georgia Guitar Quartet recently performed at two sold-out shows in New York, at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, and at the Deer Valley Music Festival in Park City, Utah.  In their dynamic nationwide concert schedule, they perform at diverse venues, from concert halls to popular music clubs.  The group has been awarded the “Best Classical Artist” at the Athens Flagpole Music Awards in Athens for the past five years.

The Georgia Guitar Quartet is working on their fourth album that consists entirely of original work by the group members.
