King's College Board of Directors awards tenure to Dr. David Sosar of Hazleton

February 27, 2009 – Dr. David Sosar of Hazleton has been granted tenure by the King's College Board of Directors and will become associate professor of political science. He currently teaches courses on American government, immigration, public administration, and the U.S. Congress and legislative process.
 
Sosar has several journal publications, including "Pennsylvania Act 1" in the “Intellectbase International Consortium” and “The Garbage Can Model of Public Policy Making as Applied to Hazleton, Pennsylvania's Illegal Immigration Relief Ordinance" in “National Social Science Journal.” He also serves as a political analyst on the Hazleton Area television program “The Inside Scoop.”  
 
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Social Science Association and King’s Outreach Committee. At King’s, Sosar serves as a faculty advisor to Phi Alpha Sigma, National Honor Political Science Society, and the College’s student government association.  
 
Within the community, Sosar serves on the board of the Hazleton City Authority, and the Boards of Directors of the United Way, Leadership Hazleton, and the Volunteer Services of Hazleton.
