If a commuting student is not able to attend classes for several days:
When a student is missing classes due to illness or family emergency for an extended period of time (two days or more of the same class), they must contact the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Office who will, in turn, contact the student's instructors. If a student misses one class, then the student should talk to the professor on the next day of the class.
If you need to contact a commuting student when they are in class:
The College does not have a paging system or a means to contact students quickly. The Associate Vice President for Student Affairs will attempt to notify students of messages only in the case of emergency, for example, death in the family or serious accidents.
