"Improving ourselves to help others in love, as we're all God's children."
King’s College Retreats
Students are busy people, there is no doubt about it! Many college students welcome the opportunity to draw aside with friends to be attentive to the spirit of God living within them. The Catholic tradition has always held a place of importance for retreat experiences. Withdrawing from the hectic pace of campus life to experience the love and support of a Christian community often awakens our love and desire for God. Students who have made any of the retreats listed below, continue to meet monthly for a prayer experience and social time.
"You have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts."
Psalm 139
Encounter with Christ Retreat
This retreat is open to all students at King’s. This two-night retreat gathers students to an atmosphere where they can come to know and experience Christ through the community. Gathered together the participants experience Christ manifested especially in the members of the team. The retreat team "talks" play a significant role in this experience of witnessing to Christ. Interested students should contact Bob Shearn, Associate Campus Minister by phone at 5691 or by email at rmshearn@kings.edu.
"Who do you say that I am?" Matthew 16:15
