Kim Francis Byriel
VP International InterMetro


In 2007, Kim Francis Byriel joined InterMetro Industries Incorporation as the Vice President International. InterMetro Industries, a subsidiary of Emerson’s Storage Solutions segment, has been the world’s leading manufacturer of storage and transport products since 1929. InterMetro provides products to major restaurant chains and hotels, in addition to world class hospitals and research centers, pioneering technological industries, as well as homes and garages. InterMetro is located in North Eastern Pennsylvania, in the city of Wilkes-Barre.

A native of Denmark, Kim actually spent most of his professional career living outside of his homeland in order to create business growth across cultural barriers. Kim has been able to achieve such by living in various countries such as England, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.

Kim has a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen Denmark, where he majored in Strategic Management and a M. S. in Economics and Business Administration, from the Copenhagen Business School, as well, in which he majored in International Marketing and Management. Kim continues to participate in Executive Education in which, he recently attended the Emerson Leadership Program XIV that took place in 2008 at Washington University, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kim began his career as a Project Manager for Dansk Presse & Kommunikation, Aps in Copenhagen, Denmark. He then went on to work for various renowned companies such as Sulzer Medica, GmbH, in Germany, as well as Habasit Incorporation, where he took on the position as the Head of Strategic Business Unit for Business Machines, in Switzerland and then moved to Middletown, Connecticut as the Marketing Director. After working for Interroll Corporation as the Managing Director/Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Kim finally became part of the InterMetro family in 2007.

Kim and his wife Julia along with their two sons Niklas and Philip, reside in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania.
