ATHLETICS STAFF DIRECTORY | Complete Staff Directroy Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ish has also been head field hockey coach at King's since the 1994 season where she has achieved great success. Ish has guided the Lady Monarch field hockey program to their winningest stretch ever and led the squad to a school record 19 wins, the Freedom Conference championshp, and a berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament during the 2006 season. Her 2005 squad also finished the year ranked 20th nationally by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Under her direction, King’s has also had Freedom Conference Tournament runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2005. She was named the MAC Freedom field hockey "Coach of the Year" in 1996 and again in 2005. Ish has led King’s field hockey team to at least 10 victories every season since 1999. In field hockey, Ish has coached numerous players who have earned MAC Freedom all-star status with six National Field Hockey Coaches Association Regional All-Americans. In 1996, Ish started the King’s women’s lacrosse program and served as the head coach where she nurtured the program until stepping aside following the 2001 campaign to assume greater responsibilities as an athletic administrator. Prior to her arrival at King’s, Ish enjoyed a brilliant collegiate athletic career. Ish earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Salisbury State University in 1992 where she was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American in field hockey. In 1988, she guided Salisbury to a 16-3-3 record and a third-place finish in the national tournament, while advancing to the quarterfinals in each of her final three seasons. Ish was named the most valuable player of the Eastern States Athletic Conference in 1989. Ish was also a four-year letter-winner in both lacrosse, where she was a regional all-American, as well as and track and field. An outstanding student as well, Ish was nominated for the Hanes "Woman of the Year" Award in 1992. She came to King's following two years as an assistant field hockey coach at Smith College where she earned her master's degree in exercise and sports studies. In 1993, she helped Coach Smith to a 15-3 record and a second-place finish in the Division III National Tournament. A native of Hamburg, NJ, Ish a graduate of Walkill Valley High School where she earned New Jersey Group 2 all-state field hockey honors as a senior. Andrejko owns a history of great success as both a player and coach. From 1996-2001, he served as assistant coach to legendary University of Scranton head coach Bob Bessoir and helped the Royals to five MAC playoffs berths as well as two bids into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. An outstanding student at Scranton, Andrejko became the first player in school history to be named academic all-American as well as a basketball All-American in the same year and was presented an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. He was inducted into the Plains Hall of Fame in 1996 and the University of Scranton Wall of Fame in 1997. Andrejko graduated from Scranton in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. He completed his Master's degree in School Counseling from Scranton in 1991 and had been employed as a guidance counselor at Pocono Mountain High School for 10 years prior to his arrival at King's. Director of Sports Information Among his many duties, Ziadie is responsible for writing news releases and feature stories about King's teams and student-athletes; publication-brochure writing and design; coordination of team photography needs; statistical compilation and distribution to the NCAA and MAC. Ziadie is also responsible for running the press box and press row at King's football and basketball home games. He works closely with the local media in promoting King's athletics, providing results to appropriate members of the newspaper and television outlets. He also serves as a liaison between King's and the NCAA. Since his arrival at King's, Ziadie was honored by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) on two occasions. In 1993, his design of the King's football media guide cover was selected as the "Best in the Nation." In 1997, his feature story on former Lady Monarch basketball player Katie Powell and her return to the court after open-heart surgery was voted "Best in District II" of the NCAA. Prior to his arrival at King's, Ziadie was sports information director at Keystone College in La Plume for seven years. He also served as assistant wrestling coach for six years under the late legendary Larry Fornicola, before a one-year stint as head coach. A native of Hackettstown, NJ, Ziadie is a graduate of Warren Hills High School in Washington, NJ where he was a team captain of the football and wrestling teams. Ziadie was an all-conference and all-area selection in football and played in the first-ever New Jersey all-star football game in Giants’ Stadium during the summer of 1978. Ziadie was also a district wrestling champion as a senior and placed third at regionals. He then attended Keystone College for two years where he went on to earn a berth in the NJCAA National Wrestling Championships at 190-pounds as a sophomore. Ziadie completed his education at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Public Relations in 1986. Ziadie is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and is also a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA). He also serves as a member of the MAC Sports Information Director Sport Committee. He served as co-host SID at the 2002 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships at First Union Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, along with hosting a number of NCAA and MAC Championship events in baseball, softball, golf, tennis, and basketball. Athletic Recruiting Coordinator McGinley, who assumed this position in 1999, has been King's head wrestling coach since 1968 and his vast knowledge of the College and its athletic programs plays a major role in aiding students and coaches in the recruiting process. The coordinator especially plays a key role with the part-time coaches at King's College. McGinley obtains lists of potential student-athletes, works on the Marketing end to supply the tools needed for recruiting, follows the application process to its completion, and keeps King's coaches informed on the progress of their recruits. Applications and acceptances of Student-Athletes who are a high priority to the Athletic Department and the coaches will be tracked to their completion by McGinley. The appropriate letters and communications to potential student-athletes, requesting information and contacts will be coordinated. McGinley also maintains and facilitates contact with the student athletes when the coach is temporarily unavailable. The Athletic Recruitment Coordinator is an advocate for the Athletic Department and coaches with the Admissions Office and Admissions Counselors who are on the road recruiting for King's College. Student-athletes are an integral part of the marketing and recruiting program in the Admissions Department at King's College. Athletic Department Secretary Carol is responsible for all ticket sales at all home football and basketball games, as well as any MAC or NCAA home tournament contests. She is also responsible for overseeing a student-aide staff of approximately five King’s College students who work daily within the athletic office.
