If you are like most of us, the friendships you made at King's are yours for a lifetime. Just because our lives get busy, we shouldn't let those memories or friendships fade away. Attend a Homecoming, Reunion or an alumni gathering in your area. Make contact with an old friend throught the Lion's Den online community. Order a licnese plate if you live in PA or Maryland; if not, email the alumni office and ask for a King's Alumni decal for your car. You automatically become a member of the Alumni Association and there are no dues. Some of the benefits are: Life Insurance and Medical Insurance Homecoming- Each year the Association sponsors an Alumni Homecoming during the college wide Homecoming events. Reunions- Every five years, usually in early June, your class will celebrate an anniversary reunion during a full weekend of social activity on campus. All classes will be invited this year on June 3,4 & 5, 2005.. Area Alumni Gatherings- There are additional alumni activities held in areas outside the Wyoming Valley where there are sufficient concentrations of graduates to make such activities feasible. These events may include a basketball game, golf outing, dinner, lunch, etc. Please see the events calendar for a schedule of events. Pennsylvania and Maryland License Plates Affinity license plates are a great way to show off your King's pride. The Pennsylvania plate features the college shield and crown with the letters KC in gold. Request a form from the Alumni Office, then return it completed with $20 check made payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Maryland plate featured Leo the Lion leaning on the K in red and gold, with KM (King's Monarchs) in the black on a white background. To order a Maryland plate contact JIm Jarczynski. King's license plates, a gold Seiko watch, a chair with the college seal, a signet ring, and a King's College brass lamp are some of the examples of the items offered. Some of the items are available online at the King's College window in the Josten's Alum Shop King's offers a 1/3 discount to alumni and their spouses for undergraduate courses. The Alumni Tuition Program will provide alumni spouses, who presently do not have a degree or who wish to complete a degree program, a more affordable opportunity to do so. It also offers alumni an opportunity to take additional courses for enrichment or other purposes, such as fulfilling requirements for graduate programs. Baccalaureate alumni and their spouses will be permitted for courses as part-time, day or evening students (up to 11 hours per semester) on a space available basis.
