STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM - STUDENT EXPERIENCES
Ashley Yanchik How did you select your Study Abroad location? I chose to participate in the Sydney Summer Internship program through Arcadia University because I had always dreamed of visiting Australia , and because this was one of the few programs that was able to offer an internship associated with veterinary medicine. Why did you want to study abroad? As a resume builder and to experience life in another country. What was the highlight of the experience? Experiencing life in a different country rather than just visiting it, seeing new places, and meeting new people. What surprised you the most? How similar our culture was to that of Australia . How has this experience affected your major and future career? This experience was a great resume builder and provided me with veterinary experience. What would you tell students considering studying abroad? If a student is giving it the slightest consideration, they should go ahead and do it. It's a magnificent experience in so many ways, and is a great way to earn credits and experience another culture at the same time. |
